The story begins with Larry experiencing a mid-life crisis. He encounters a mysterious bartender named Mike (played by Michael Caine) who offers him a magical drink called "The Spelled." This drink transports Larry into an alternate reality where he actually hit the home run, changing the entire course of his life. In this "perfect" world, Larry is a wealthy, powerful executive married to the girl of his dreams.
