The turning point occurs when Hamza's violence leads to a tragic miscarriage. This loss shatters Badru’s devotion. With the help of her mother, (Shefali Shah), she decides to turn the tables. Instead of leaving him, they kidnap Hamza and hold him hostage in his own home, subjecting him to the same "treatments" and humiliations he inflicted on Badru. Key Themes

The plot centers on (Alia Bhatt) and her husband Hamza (Vijay Varma). While they appear to be a normal couple living in a chawl in Mumbai, Hamza is a volatile alcoholic who regularly beats Badru.
