While the Man of Steel was away on a Justice League mission, Krypto was left in charge of the Shelter Squad. Usually, they communicated through barks, squeaks, and the occasional psychic nudge from PB the pig. But today, a mysterious glowing artifact from LexCorp had exploded in the park, emitting a pulse of "Linguistic Energy."

The team realized that the LexCorp device was a "Universal Translator" gone haywire, locked specifically to the Portuguese dialect. To fix it, they had to track down a rogue guinea pig named Lulu, who was using the device to confuse the city's heroes so she could steal all the artisanal ham from the docks.
