Raft On Nets (RECOMMENDED · 2025)

: A straight line of 28 nets will catch all incoming debris if positioned perfectly perpendicular to your direction of travel. This is most effective once you have a steering wheel to maintain your orientation.

: You don't always need a solid wall of nets. Placing nets with a one-foundation gap between them (e.g., Net - Foundation - Net) allows you to cover more area with fewer resources. Debris has a "magnetic" effect where it often snaps into a nearby net even if it doesn't hit the center. Protecting Your Investment

There are two primary types of collection nets, each with different storage capacities and resource requirements:

Efficiency depends on how you position your nets relative to the ocean's "flotsam stream," which is approximately and centered on your original four foundations.

: An L-shaped configuration (two adjacent lines of 27 nets with an empty corner) ensures you collect all flotsam regardless of which way your raft is facing. This is highly recommended for the early game when your raft often rotates accidentally.
