Learn About EDU
I discovered NaturalReader after hearing that it was possible to have the text from the computer read aloud to you. I have Aspergers' Syndrome, which is an autistic spectrum learning difficulty. I use NaturalReader to read aloud passages from ebooks I have bought, PDF documents, and webpages with lots of text, and to read back to me things I have typed to 'hear them'. This helps me greatly as although I am a visual/kinetic learner, words are not pictures. NaturalReader allows me to hear all the text I would otherwise have had to read on the screen, allowing me to create a mental image of what I am hearing, this helps me process and have a better retainment of information.

Set in 1980, the story follows (Philippe Nahon), a man recently released from prison after an assault related to his mentally handicapped daughter, Cynthia. Desperate for a fresh start, he leaves Cynthia in an institution and moves to the suburbs of Lille with a pregnant mistress who promises him a new shop. When her promise proves to be a lie, his deep-seated bitterness turns into a violent, nihilistic obsession. He eventually returns to Paris with a loaded pistol and three bullets, spiraling into a series of dark encounters that test the limits of his—and the audience's—humanity. Critical Analysis

Noé employs jarring stylistic choices, including loud gunshot sound effects that punctuate scene transitions and "skip-frame" edits that keep the viewer uncomfortably on edge. Including a visceral scene involving the assault of

In a famous meta-theatrical moment before the climax, Noé displays a title card giving the audience 30 seconds to leave the theater before the "grisly" finale begins. Viewer's Warning

The film is driven by a constant, aggressive inner monologue that exposes the character's racist, sexist, and misanthropic rage. Critics have compared this raw, corrosive approach to a darker, more nihilistic version of Scorsese's Taxi Driver . Set in 1980, the story follows (Philippe Nahon),

Directed by Gaspar Noé in his feature directorial debut, (French: Seul contre tous ) is a brutally unflinching psychological drama that explores the complete mental breakdown of a 50-year-old French butcher. A sequel to Noé's short film Carne , this film is widely considered one of the most intense entries in the "New French Extremity" movement. Plot Summary
