With a small, rebellious smirk, he used a fraction of his own power to make a small plate of very high-quality dates appear on the shelf.
Nandor the Relentless sat on a pile of decorative Persian rugs, staring intensely at the lamp. He rubbed it with the sleeve of his velvet cape. With a weary puff of purple smoke, the Djinn appeared, holding a clipboard and wearing his signature vest.
