(titled Get the Gringo in North America and How I Spent My Summer Vacation in the UK) is a 2012 action-thriller starring, co-written, and co-produced by Mel Gibson . The film marks a return to the gritty, charismatic antihero roles Gibson became known for in films like Payback . Plot and Setting

The "Gringo" befriends a streetwise 10-year-old kid (Kevin Hernandez) who is kept in the prison because he has a rare blood type needed for a liver transplant by Javi, the crime lord running the facility.

Unlike a standard prison, El Pueblito is depicted as a self-governed "prison village" where inmates live with their families, run businesses, and trade drugs openly.

The story begins with a high-speed chase where a getaway driver (Gibson) crashes through the U.S.-Mexico border wall while carrying over $2 million in stolen cash. He is arrested by corrupt Mexican police who keep the money and throw him into the notorious prison.

    • Thank you so much for bringing this to our attention. I’m not sure if Alba Botanika had a change in formula, but I did notice that two of their body lotions now have beeswax in them—Very Emollient Hemp and Coconut Rescue. According to their website, the rest are free of beeswax. We really appreciate your comment! 😀
